How's the foot Dean? Are you going to be able to fish next weekend? Bob said you were out for the Open but might be able to fish the regular tournament.
Dean, Tell me you didn't kick Bob! Well maybe he needed one.
Well, What's the story Dean?????????
The foot is getting better. I am planning to fish, though not sure how we'll fare since I haven't been out since Naci. I hope to get out one day this week... we'll see. What were the finishes at the Open, anybody have them? Any of you guys fish it?
Did not fish but 1st was 16.??, dont know 2nd or 3rd, Glenn Newman took 4th with 14.??, and I think they paid to 6th. I think he said the club took in a little over $1000 after the payouts and paying for the BBQ and door prizes. How did Bob do? He said he was fishing the open at the BOD meeting.
Bob fished it with Sam, but they only weighed 4 fish so they weren't in the hunt.
o.k. so next Vandenberg Bass tournament I vote we DON'T go to Cachuma. I heard there are some big sticks that keep taking all the money there... j.k. Congratulations Tom and Stan on all the AC success! Looks like Eric and Co. need some help on summertime, but lookout for them in Jan-Mar next year.
Actually I can't wait for Jan - Mar, I think Stan and I can still fair pretty well. I think we will look at fishing a few more ABA tournaments as well.
I hope the bite is a good one this Saturday, see you all there.
There is probably not going to be ABA locally next year. They haven't had the turnout they need to promote, and get payouts up. I hope to fish some Angler's Choice, but I will need to find a partner who catches more than one fish ::) Will talk more later...
Are you saying that the reason you got rid of Tom was because he was a one fish wonder? :roll2: Or are you speaking of Bob.
Wow........low blow....... >:D Despite the one bad tournament I had I am definetely not a one fish wonder. Just let me know when you have money too lose and I will be there............................. lo
Wow, with partners like that... ;D No I definitely wasn't talking about Tom. I think over two years we were pretty even on numbers and size of what we brought to the scales. Not trying to be mean, but with Bob I am just hopeful for one, or even a good job with the net. Don't get me wrong, he is a super nice guy... just not very competitive. If I'm gonna drop $70-90 or so per event I have to know that we stand a chance. I was in for the Naci ABA since I have had some pretty good bags up there and on the right day wouldn't have even needed a partner, but most of the time it will be hard for 1 to beat 2.
