Folks I just wanted to let you know that with the Maryland club not attending we have a whole cabin open. It is already reserved and we need folks to fill it up!
The cabin is large and will sleep 8 to 10 people comfortably. I have only put 8 people per cabin in the other two and I think that is best unless we are in need of more room that is how we will work this one too.
I have a cabin which is 4 rooms and 8 people plus one room in another cabin...
I am taking requests for the rooms now. You will be required to settle up with the room fees on May 1st along with the tournament fees and shirt money if you choose to purchase a shirt...
Please let me know if you would like a room so that we can keep the cabin. If we have to let it go I am sure that it will not last long and we won't be able to get it back! The folks that stay in the cabins are going to have a blast!
PM me, or call me at 318-747-3222 for your cabin space now......
This is a good deal, make sure you take advantage of the room. You will be right there near the lake and Laurie is right the people staying in the cabins are going to have a blast.
Speaking of rooms opening, when can we check in Thursday?
I am not sure when check-in time is...I would think it is around 2 or 3 p.m.
I think check-in is 3pm...Although it would be nice to be able to check in earlier than that.
What time are you guys getting there. I can be there as early as noon but there may be to reason to go that early.
I'm probably getting there fairly early to do a little fishing before check-in.
Then I am going early, spy on you guys, find some holes. ~shade
Wildcat,
you have to stay at the launch and keep an eye on the check-in for us and get the "AC" cranked up for us!!!!!! lo lo
Ricky
You can spy on me if you want...I don't know anything. I'll just be running around the lake.
Anyone know what all we need to bring for the cabins...bed sheets, towels, cooking pots, utensils, etc. coffee maker...etc.etc.etc!
There are sheets on the beds, you need to bring your own towels. there are limited pots and pans and utensils. Coffee Maker? I would bring one cause if I remember right it is small
I have been told...by somewhat reliable sources...that the cabins have sheets, towels, cooking stuff in the kitchen, coffee maker. I'm bringing coffee for our cabin...but I don't use nothing in my coffee so I will only have coffee. I'm also going to pick up some canned cinammon rolls for something for breakfast.
Between Laurie and I, we have all the paper products for the 3 suppers.
I'm also going to throw a couple of towels in the tahoe...just in case.
Just found out that after Friday nights dinner that I will not be coming home Saturday night, is there still room at one of the cabins and how much is it? I might need a spot to stay if there is if not I'll drive home each night, Briana's coming Friday night but is going out of town Saturday.
If you are from Church Point or Shreveport area you better bring some fish. Or else the only ones you will see will he Lockjaw livewells.
Wildcat,
Why did you have to single me out like that, buddy? :'( I was thinking that we were friends...... :P :P :P at least until the kicking begins....... lo
Ricky >:D
Well since I am from neither...live in neither...I have nothing to worry about.
Are y'all going to need your livewells? Maybe store cold drinks in there. :roll2:
We have converted a pontoon boat into a live well and tow it when we fish. The standard size live wells just don't get it for our club.
Hey do the cabins have microwaves? if not i have a extra one thats sitting at my rent house. so i would be happy to bring it if we need to nuke something... yeah or neah

Yes they do.
For those in my cabin...I'm bringing some coffee. But I do NOT put anything in my coffee so anyone that needs cream, sugar, whatever...you need to bring it. I'm also bringing some cinnamon rolls to throw in the oven in the mornings. Got to have plenty of strength for hauling in those hawgs.
I think that merila is doing the same for our cabin,,,,,,,,,,that is for us & papa & trey,,,,,,,now that wildcat is being ugly and trying to single us out,,,,,,,,I'm not sure about his morning rolls......... :roll2: :roll2: wait until I tell merila what he said... :o :o
Nothing but the truth, so help me............... >:D
Ricky ;)
Now wait a second! :'( :'( Even criminals get a second chance. :)

Are you admitting to being a criminal? :roll2: I'm sure ole Ricky will make sure you are taken care of.
I am not admitting to anything 8) 8) 8) I just want a second shot a those rolls for breakfast. ;D
Hey, is everyone going to be divided into two competing clubs.
Yes sir. That is the split.
We (Ricky and I) have decided to be nice to wildcat, just in case they do actually catch some fish maybe we can get some info from him ~lu

Rattle, would you make sure that Mike and I have a room if at all possible. I know that most of the cabins have a master bedroom and then some beds in the common area as well. :help:
Laurie, I got yall covered. I'm already on cabin assignments. In fact every cabin has someone in it and two of them are just about full and my guys haven't really started putting their names down.

Oh, we been doing some research on Lake Fausse Pointe, and I'm here to tell you bring your GPS. Dude that place is huge and if you get in some of those cuts you may not be able to find your way back. I pulled up an ariel photo and scanned around, I think yall are going to love this place.
I haven't had time to investigate the area down there yet but no matter what I know I will have a great time getting everyone together again ~c~ ~c~

thanks , papa
this is not about cabin rooms...but I have a few questions and I am such a DA I can barely get around on our site...ventrilo...whats this?? Can I fish the shootout...without being in a club...and how much is entry fee??? please help..
Ronald, yes you can fish the shootout without being in a club. What we do is put orphan teams with a club, generally with the club that has the least teams. The cost is $20 person and there is a $5 a day optional big bass pot. So if you opt for the big bass pot on both days your cost will be $30. We have a meal on Saturday night for all participants, that is included in the entry fee cost. The prizes are as follows: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams recieve a trophy, the club with the most weigh wins the championship trophy and money is awarded each day for big bass. We also give out door prizes. This tournament is all about fellowship and friendy competiton, with a little trash talk to keep things interesting. :roll2:
seems like I remember poker being a part of that too........ ~c~ :roll2:

I am going to type this really slow so TC can understand :roll2:
The cabins are side by side along the road. You can see each cabin from the others. Do not worry! It will be hard for ya'll to get lost. You can also see the lake from the cabins so you will be able to find the water.~shade
Now that's funny right there. :roll2:
Mike do a goggle search fro louisiana state parks. Once you get to the main site look to the left and you will see a menu, click on parks, then click on South Toledo bend Sate Park. On the their page there is a layout of the cabins. I will be there early Thursday. The private room in each cabin will be given to couples, sorry Fogy you and Mike don't count. :roll2:
Do you have the pole and the girls set up yet? If not I'll have Ranger send you the camouflage heals he has so you can practice.
Mike? :-\ Nope thought you were my girlfriend for the weekend,, just kept the mask on and close your eye and think about HBO's OZ rules. If you put on a half shirt and lipstick along with the heals that would help ~roflmao
