Title: Burchard Lake status
Post by: Fishin247365 on January 04, 2008, 06:48:11 PM
I know there was a problem with the dam leaking some. Does anyone know if they ever fixed this last year? Its been awhile since I've been over there. Last I was told the repairs could be made without draining it entirely. Just wondering what condition it was in this past summer and fall.

I was there in mid-October (right before being closed for hunting) and it was VERY full. All of the fish I caught were in the flooded grass. I assume they got the problem fixed.

I fished a tournament on Burchard 2 weeks ago and it seemed fine to me. Omaha has gotten hit pretty good with alot of rain and most of the lakes around here are up pretty good so i'm assuming Burchard should have received some of it.

Burchard will have plenty of water...now...but when we hit the next dry spell, the leak in the dam will once again be cause for concern...
