Title: FishTamer Circle Hook Review (LureTamer)
Post by: bassadict69 on June 15, 2008, 05:52:51 PM
I received a pack of #1 sized circle hooks to review from LureTamer Products.

I have used them on several trips & must say I love them! I have tried them tightlining as well as fishing under a cork & they performed flawlessly every time. Perfect hook-ups right in the hard part of the jaw on all the catfish & bream I have caught with these hooks, just like they are intended to do! I have probably caught 50 fish with these hooks & haven't had the first fish swallow a hook like bream sometimes do with regular hooks.

A BIG problem I have with many hooks is rust. Change hook sizes & put a wet hook back into the box of other hooks & after a week or so, they are all rusty. I have not encountered the same problem with these hooks...they are great ALL THE WAY AROUND!

I will definitely be buying more of these hooks! I normally use Gamakatsu Circle hooks for catfishing but they do not offer a smaller hook such as these & they are also MUCH more expensive than these FishTamer hooks!

Great review, thanks for sharing.
I got some of these hooks a couple of months ago, but never got around to trying them yet (work schedule  :( )

Have you tried them with bass yet ??
I plan on using them for drop shotting and wacky rigging!

Nah...I couldn't keep from setting the hook if using them for bass fishing.

With circle hooks, if you set the hook, it dislodges the hook & comes out.
