Title: Real Suggestion for a Jerk Bait/ Senko Rod?
Post by: blake711 on June 08, 2005, 03:30:16 PM
I have been using the Curado line and have replaced all but one of my reels with Curado 200s  I was wanting something lower profile for a jerkbait rod.  I was thinking possibly a curado 100  does anyone have any suggestions?  I want light very durable very smooth and free.. With smallest profile avaliable as I palm the reel when fishing this type of bait.  Also I only want a centrifugal break configuration please.

A Curado 100 would be a good choice i use mine for several different baits but it gets a lot of use for weightless presentations.

A 100 curado is perfect for the application you are wanting to use it .
I use mine for top water and jerkbaits and love them.

I use all low profile reels (Curado 200's Castaic 200's Chronarch 100's), but when it comes time to throw a jerkbait or senko I turn to a Calcutta 50.  This is a very impressive reel.  Even though it is round, it is still a small reel that fits in my hand nicely.  It will through a jerkbait or a weightless senko a country mile.
