SO ive had my boat for a few months now its a Z-6 and its my first boat. I've noticed that most boats have a tubing or some type of casing covering the wires and fuel pump that come from the motor and go into the boat. If you know what im talking about? Its in the drainage area infront of the motor on the VERY back of the boat. Where the water comes in when you throttle down. Im not sure why bass pro did not put one on my boat when i bought it but the wires and such are scratching my boat. What should i do to prevent this and where can i get the tubing that fits around the cables? I'll try to find a picture to help explain if i can.

Andrew that's called a rigging tube. It was an option and if I remember it was around $95. You can check with Ken the service manager if one can be ordered for your boat. It really looks nicer and you won't have the cables rubbing.
By the way I have been really happy with the service at Arundel Mills. The only problem that I have had was the voltmeter stopped working and they had it fixed in less than four hours on the day I took it in. Can't ask any more than that from a dealer.
How is your boat?? I love the Z-7 it rides great and hardly uses any fuel. I used to have a Triton TR20X with a 225 OPTI and for the money the Nitro is a better ride and a better laid out boat.

I love my boat but for it's size i kinda wish i hadnt gotten a duel console. The cables are rubbing pretty bad in my splash well. Theres about a 2 in mark where all of the paint is completely gone. Its just white. The boat rides great. I think my RPM gage is a little messed up but not majorly. I would take my boat in to get it looked at but it's a long haul from my house. I really dont remember them mentioning the tubing. One thing they did wrong was wire my trolling motor and charger wrong. I took it all apart and rewired it myself. Do you have a jackplate on your boat? Ive been trying to find a little more info about them and whether it would be a good idea to get one or not

No I don;t have a jackplate on mine, yet. It works just fine without one but I have had one on my last two bass boats. I think a jackplate will help getting on plane and possibly run a little bit faster. It will put your prop further back and it will run in cleaner water enhancing your performance.
I got a price from BPS at Arundle Mills of approx. $650 installed for a manual plate.

My boat sometimes seems to have trouble getting on plane. It may just be me but sometimes it gets on plane fine and other times like going into waves it seems like it wont get up so i usually do a circle and then it will get up. I was considering one because a few people told me it would help with that.
What is the the best set back on a manual jackplate to buy if it setback closer or futher away
It is all based on the boat, some need 4 some 6 some 10 others 12. No best jackplate for everyone, thats why they make so many. ;)

I would guess a 4 to 6 anything more than that IMO would be to much for that motor.
Do you have a way to visit with a Nitro dealer? If so I would advise talking to their set up team.
