Stooped by there today and the new parking lot looks great. The courtesy dock looks great, parking spaces are painted and there is even a clean portapottie put up. There was not a boat on the lake.

Can't wait for Saturday morning, I know they still will be deep but there has to be a few lunkers that haven't seen a lure for months.

Got out to Swpeco about 8am, way too late. I caught a few small bass around the damn where the water comes into the lake. Then some catfisherman came along with a cast net and started catching bait and bass with a net and destroyed the spot. They keep 10 8 to 10 in bass.

I saw big balls of big shad that looked like 6 in swimbaits, if I didn't know better they almost looked like herring.

The water is very high and green and dingy with less than a foot of visabilty.

Aftr touring the lake until noon I couldn't locate more than a few fish in one spot and caught a total of three dinks.

This lake is not what it used to be at all, and until I get hard up on a cold winter day to fish for sunfish or anything, don't think I will return.

Thanks for the report and them guys are giving us katfisher men a bad name. You don't pull up on someones spot there are fishing in and start casting a net and you sure don't keep a game fish when you catch it in your net  ~rant ~rant
