Title: Which Air Brush?
Post by: -Joe- on February 11, 2009, 04:02:26 PM
If I was going to purchase an air brush what features would I want to look for? I would like to go ahead a get a good one that if this hobby pans out that I want have to upgrade later. I would rather spend the money the first time and not have to worry about 'I wish I woulda got....'. Any suggestions on brands or models would be great.

Thanks,
-Joe-

Iwata is all you'll ever need! I have an hp-b, it's an excellent choice.

Would I need to get one that had a MAC valve? Who do you recommend for the best prices?

Thanks Again,

Hobby lobby has the eclipse and they ususlly run a 40% off  one item coupon online and in their ad every week or 2. Really good deal with the coupon. I would highly recommend a MAC valve. You might adjust your air 20-50 times on one bait. I got mine on ebay, I couldnt find them anywhere else. Also might want to get a water trap for your aircompressor. Nothing worse than doing that final spray and having alot of water coming out of your airbrush throwing paint all over. BEEN THERE,DONE THAT!!! LOL.  Good luck and if you need anything just post a question and me, BIGM, or tightlinez will help you out.

Well i ordered the Iwata HP-BH that was in the link I posted earlier. I also went on E-bay and found an airbrush compressor for 20 bucks, an inline water seperator, a mini inline adjustable regulator and a 10' braided air hose. So now hopefully I'm set on equiptment, now onto paints and webbing stencils.......so much to learn.
