I got out a few times this week as the school that I teach at is on spring break. Water temp was 47 degrees early in the week and 54 degrees yesterday afternoon. It was kind of slow overall but I caught a few including this one at 18 1/4". This fish was caught on a spinnerbait and I also caught some on an X-Rap with 10 second pauses between retrieves.
My wife and I have a new baby so I don't know that I'll be able to get out as much this summer like I have in the past but I will see what I can do.
As always...all fish were released. Enjoy.

Thats a nice looking first fish congrats. Still waiting for my first of the year
Nice! Congrats on the baby. ;)
Nice Job Ted on the Bass and the Baby!! ~c~ Long your next!! ;D
Nice Fish! Good luck as the weather and water warms!
Thanks to all. The baby is good (now 2 months old) and as long as I can get out a couple of times per week, I'll be OK. Not fishing every day over the summer will take some getting used to but it should all be good. I just moved to a neighborhood where we have fishing rights to a small private lake which reportedly has lots of pike, crappie, and some bass so learning that should keep me busy for a while.
yeah kids are a big adjustment for the fisherman.....youll be fine AND now you have a future fishing buddy. nice fish, congrats on both.
Nice fish man! Congratulations on the future fisher & the new honey hole! :)
Nice work...finally got all my gear ready...can't wait to start fishing!
