Title: BASS ACT Project: Lake Gaston, NC & VA

rth Carolina & Virginia ACT Members:
The Lake Gaston Weed Control Council and the Corp of Engineers are partnering on a demonstration planting and they need volunteers in the Flats area of Lake Gaston, NC June 9-11, 2009. The project consists of building cage-type enclosures and planting native plants.
Dates: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, June 9-11, 2009 Time: call for times Meeting Location: call for meeting location (west end of lake) Additional Information: The purpose of the project is to replace hydrilla with native plants, ensuring shoreline stabilization and benefits for fish and wildlife habitats.
