Title: 2 dollar Blank's can look as good as 18dollar cranks...!
Post by: thecrankincracker on July 03, 2009, 08:14:02 PM
Here's some blank's I purchased for myself and painted up. I think their going to work as good as any Lucky Craft and If i loose one I'm only out a couple buck's and a little time..Something for you guy's wanting to paint their own bait's to think about.! Got tired of scuba diving to get my high dollar bait's back.... lo   PS.... Like the new look on the website 'MotherNature' but the UB logo look's a little funny!

It's funny that you knew I would look at your thread. It is still a work in progress. Keeping up with folks that don't mind the rules takes up a lot of time and then there is the daily business that has to be tended to. I work on the look of the site as I get a chance.

I do remember that there was something about giving advice in this board about what you do. How you painted a specific color scheme... You know what I mean.

I painted a few of these using pictures I printed out and placed next to my paintbooth. You can use the pic's as a reference as you paint.. Another tip for a great glossy look when you clearcoat- after you mix your clearcoat hit if with a blowdryer for a few seconds and the bubble's will dissapear!  :)

They are blank's from predatorbassbaits and I have not had any problems with them. Their similar to LC 2.5's and they have a removable screw in front eye hook which allow's you to add or remove the rattles. He also sell's some DT knock off's which I really like. With the price of crank's going up (gander went up about a buck on all their crank's) good blank's are the way to go.

Great looking baits  ~c~ you've done soe good work there. I especially like the Bluegill/Golden shiner, Fantastic. The spooky chartreuse shad I'd call spooky splatter chartreuse shad. Both great baits. They all look good . Great work.  ~c~
