I brought 270 lbs of beef back with me from Kansas, so I have some extra to spare. (If you like farm raised, grain fed beef without hormones or growth enhancers)
Steak and ~beer~ is a good way to go :-*

I agree with ya on that one. Visiting with friends and other UBer's is 95% of the fun. I love to go home and see family and old friends back in Kansas, but there is always the other side of me that can't wait to come back and enjoy the company of fellow bass fishermen. :)

Yep I think it falling on a Sat is going to take away from our little tournament, didn't think everyone would want to fish the tournament Sunday and than try and drive home or fish the ABA all day Sat and than with the Rally SUnday.
I'm game to move it or leave it as I don't have any plans ;D
As far as the cabins I have no idea, guess the Corks might want one but they will have to answer that & I'll have the camper out there so I won't need one.

We are good!! I already reserved a cabin! same one as last year. and dennins said he is saving the same one for the corks as last year. But he did say that he needs to know fairly quick if we will be needing any more.

I'm going to skip the cabin thing since it is close enough to drive. I may stay somewhere's a little closer on friday night, but I've got to make sure that Ein gets on the school bus in the mornings. I like the date move, I've got a tourney in pool 4 on the 24th. As for spending a lot of time Thursday and Friday, my teaching schedule will decide that. It's not out yet, so I've just got to wait. Either way, I'll be there part of the time.

Here is the information on where it will be held. Clarks Red River Marina on the Red River just south of Shreveport/Bossier City. Lots of us will be there from Thursday thru Sunday, Oct. 15-18. We just get together for fishing and fun and eating and hanging out. No real agenda, just getting together for fun and fellowship.

It is basically just a great get together. We fish during the day and eat and tell fishing stories around the fire at night. On Saturday we will Have a Tourney and we usually have a big fish pot during the other days. We all help each other get on the fish, so everyone catches fish and has a good time. The red river is an incredible fishery, Yall will have a blast!

Hey Fogy, not sure if you're frying fish again this year, but I've got 2 big bags of filet's that I can bring. I can bring some oil as well or some fish fry. Also, if anyone preferrs, I'll bring 5-10 lbs of hamburger to put on the grill.
Looks like it will be afterwork on Thursday, Friday should be early afternoon, then all day Saturday. The river should be back down by then as long as we don't get pounded with rain between now and then. The storms that went through last night shouldn't bother too much. Just 13 more days till its Rally time. :toot:

Yes I'm going to cook fish one night, if you want to bring them that would be great or we could just keep some over the days and cook them up the last night. Noble wanted to cook one night, maybe Chilie one night if it's going to cool down and fish one night and that is all 3 nights I think. I'm open to anything but I will eat fish at some point while there. lo
D and I figured we would add some venison sausage to the mix, some fries and some beans so the last night is on us other than the fish that can be added to what Russ & I bring just to make sure we have enough.
Also anyone that has some wood bring it if you can so we have hang out by a dam nice fire each night and talk chit and just chill.

So what's the word on the the Rally? Ya'll moving it to a different location? Going to use Clarks as a base camp and fish somewhere's else? Just curious so I can plan ahead. I was planning on bringing the boat to work tomorrow but that may not be needed.

I don't know about fishing on Sunday. I'm pretty sure I won't be going out...it is supposed to be 41 degrees. Not sure what anyone else is doing. Probably not even going out early Saturday morning...supposed to be 46. And since the fishing SUCKS...not a lot of motivation. 3 boats all day on Thursday and 1 boat for 1/2 day...0 bass. As of lunch today...5 boats fishing 1/2 day - 3 bass.

It was no trouble, Ein is a great kid, he and Damon get along very well and looked to have had a good time. Heck that was part of the reason we got such a big camper to let our boys have friends stay when they could. ~cf

And by the way...I had a great time at the rally. The food was great, the fellowship was fantastic, and the fires at night were....well, adequate. Good thing the folks across the way had a big fire on Friday. ~roflmao ~roflmao
