Title: Kevin Vandam Perfect Plastics
Post by: Big J on August 15, 2009, 03:46:47 PM
Has anyone tried Strike Kings Kevin Vandam Perfect Plastics the Ocho?  I am getting more hits and more hook ups with it then Zoom and was wondering if anyone else has tried it out?

I have, but I haven't had any luck yet. I'm still trying to get used to using them. I love the caffeine shads!

I've been fishing it weightless around cover.

I've been fishing it weightless around cover.

I did that today with an Ocho watermelon red flake. Casting it parallel to weeds and caught a few small ones. They didn't like my larger (6.8") Jackal flick shakes, Well they liked them but they tapped them like crazy but didn't take it. I think it was too large. The jackal's are more durable, I just wish it was the size of the 5" Ocho. Pics to follow.

Same color I've been using, Watermelon Red.  I've been getting more hits then I have had with Zoom Trick worms and also I love that coffee scent  :food

YES in fact I have. I use the Ocho all the time. The way it flutters I think is more appealing to fish sometimes.. I have caught a ton of fish this year on this bait. I love it. I normally buy all the watermelon ones that BPS has on its shelves when they have them.. The rage toads are amazing too. They seem to last a lot longer than other toad style baits...

I've been using them pretty consistently..mostly texas rigged with an occasional wacky rig...Watermelon W/red flake, WMellon seed w/black, and the Texas one (name?))...i am a huge fan of the Senkos and Cut Tail Yamamotos baits, but a lot of the places don't carry my favorite colors (Motor Oil W/ red flake <--- Slaughters fish...OX blood, and rootbeer) so I have to order right from my pops' distributer and that's like once every three months or so..but the KVD series platics are really good baits...the shads are top notch too, but have found if you flip i upside down you get better hook sets and a better action. The creature baits are good for flippin....can go either way, weightless or weighted.

They are priced right up there with the real Senko's. Go with the originals. Dont know why but they outfish the rest.
