I found a used x-15 unit near me. The guy has all the parts needed to install. He is only looking for $50.00 for it. To me this sounds like a steal and a good upgrade to my boat. I am currently running a older humminbird piranha that I got for free from a friend. Any feedback on this unit would be greatly appreciated.

Man thats a STEAL!!!! i have one and love it,, it might be outdated but works great for me. if it has everything you cant go wrong i seen just the gps ant sell for more than 50 bucks used
I never had one but if it works without any problems and has all the components, that would be a deal. If not it's only $50 and not $300.

How does the GPS work for you? Where is the ant mounted on your boat? I did pick it up. I just need to get a new transducer because it has the thru hull puck and I need a transom mounted unit. So I am trying to find one on line that is not priced outrageous. I am also going to check some of the local marinas to see if they have some in stock. That and the Gimbel knobs is all it needs. Can't wait for the thaw this spring to get working on the boat.
My ant is mounted right on top of my X15 unit with velcro, and stayed on running 65mph on my ole champion,, the gps works great!! i can set the alarm going to a waypoint and the time it goes off I can see the structure on the graph. I use the trails on it a lot for night navigation or trolling a path. While at the marina ask if they have any old hulls out back,, thats how i got my extra transducer for my X15 and got it for 10 bucks too ;D , I have learned to use it over the 6 years i have had it works great for me, I would have picked that one up even thou i don't have a need for it for what you got it for,very very sweet deal ~c~
