Hey, that's Great!  Hope you have a good trip!  And Welcome to Ultimate Bass!  ~c~  There are ton's of places here for good fish, I know everyone has there favorite and it's really according to if you want numbers or the big girls on the end of your line.  What type of lures are you comfortable with?  Not knowing about Australia fishing this would definately help!

Also you can look on lake reports right here on UB to help you out.  What part of the country are you coming too?
We can narrow it down with that info!  ;D

Largemouth- Central or south florida, texas, california.

Smallmouth, lake erie, lake saint clair in michigan canada or any borderng state

Pike, the farther north the better, great lakes, minnesota- lake of the woods, canada, northern Michigan

that's a pretty good summation, though i would add California, Tennessee and Kentucky for smallmouth as well.

All great places !! What part of down under are you from ? I have a buddy in Canberra that comes over twice a year to buy Camaros and Firebirds and ship them back.. Your going to be flying into LA Cail. I am about sure, so you surely would want to fish out there for sure!!!! Never fished there or Mexico and both are on my oneday list to fish

I'd have to throw in Lake Champlain excellent Bass and Pike fishing.
