Most of the time I will be throwing either a 1/4oz or 3/8oz spinnerbait, so I decided to make some 1/8oz and 1/2oz spinners to try out as soon as the weather warms up a little.
Here's what I ended up with;
The 1/8oz skirts are 30 strand and the 1/2oz skirts are 40 strand.

Dug, I already have a bunch of willow/colorado bladed baits and in March I will be fishing a lake with deep clear water and wanted to try some spinnerbaits with more flash and less lift ;D
HEY BK,
GOOD LOOKING BAITS ! NICE PAINT WORK ALSO.I WANT TO COMMEND YOU ON THE GREAT PHOTO PRESENTIONS. I USED TO TEACH PHOTOGRAPHY IN COLLEGE. I WISH MY STUDENTS COULD HAVE COME UP WITH THE LIGHTING AND CONTRASTING BACKGROUND AS WELL AS YOU.KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOUR DOING.
GRAYDOG
Thanks GRAYDOG. I guess I was lucky with photo lighting, my workshop is my apartment veranda with a main window, so there's plenty of natural light.
Great looking baits Steve!! ~c~
Those look Great Steve. I wish I had half your talent. ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
ooking good Steve...Steve
I tested both of these pinnerbait sizes today. The 1/2oz ran perfectly, but the 1/8oz were running on their sides a little. I need to experiment with the blade sizes a little.
Nice job! Need to learn how to do that myself
With the 1/8 you have to reel slow.I have some for the Grandson (He uses a Zebco and they are real slow).You might try one blade.

Once you get started doing these, you will be addicted for life, but it's a great part of the fishing hobbie.

Unfortunately I have had much chance to play around with the 1/8oz spinnerbaits since starting this thread, but I'll give a single blade a try. Thanks for the idea.
Really good looking spinnerbaits Steve. Ireally like the blue and white. ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
