Just a bit too whippy of a rod, i would rather a Graphite Series. But, there not bad. Personal preference.

Sorry it took me a while to respond, i dont like leaving threads with no response. I remember in my early forum days no one ever responded *not here, usually i get responses in every thread*

Same thing as an Ugly stick with Shimano name on it.

IMO it would make an OK cranking rod if you where into fiber glass.

I got to test that very rod! And found it to be a great starter rod as the price is very easy on the wallet. It worked well for spinner baits up to 1/2 ounce and seemed to be a good crank bait or bladed swim jig rod. It's not the most sensitive rod, so I wouldn't recommend it for worming or jigs even for a beginner as a beginner would get frustrated with lack of bites just because you wouldn't feel them.

With all that said, it's a fair rod for the money and you can find an application for it ~c~ what are you going to use it for?
