Title: Geust On Board Charger for 2008 Nitro Z-7
Post by: flying wasp on June 30, 2010, 04:00:43 PM
I wanted to see if anyone else has had issues with the Geust battery charger. I did not upgrade this when i bought the boat so i have the 8amp 4/4 charger. Regardless of the time it is plugged in, it will not charge the batteries. I have a trickle charger which i hooked up to each battery and that charged them fine. The red light stays on all the time. I was out on a windy day with one of my buddy's. I had to use a drift sock in addition to the trolling motor to stay in place. After I put it on charge, no green light. Does anyone have this unit on their rig? If not, any suggestions as to what I should replace it with? I am looking at the ProMariner/ Pro Tournament 100/ 150L. The 150L is a 12/24/36 charger and I was thinking to hook it up to the starting battery as well but that might not be worth the extra $100. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

trash the quest and get a dual pro sportsmans series. i've had one for about 10yrs with no problems

i had the quest in my z6. i use now to keep my mower battery charged. this way it lets me go fishing instead of stopping me from going fishing if it acts up. i had one before i got my dual pro and it killed one of my batteries.
