What is something good to use for a crank bait lip when making your own crank baits out of wood???? Then coated in a layer of fiberglass

A lot of guys use circuit board material.

I use 1/16" or 1/8" lexan sheet for my crankbait lips.  The thinner lexan is a little cheaper and easier to cut, but the thicker lexan is stiffer and I find it easier to install a line tie in the thicker material.  Lexan is clear so it doesn't make the crankbait look any bigger to the fish.

I hope this helps.
