Title: 93 cajun livewell
Post by: rmh1371 on March 17, 2011, 11:33:49 AM
Hey all, I purchased a 1993 ragin cajun a few months ago and love it.  It runs great and everything on it seems to work, other than my livewells.  The one in the front randomly fills and empties, and the only way I can get the back one to fill is to put the boat in reverse and watch it fill.  The previous owner said something about it being set up to manual fill.  It has the switch under the dash that you can turn it to three different settings.  I am new to livewells and wondered if anyone could help me out.  When I turn the switched is the dash to fill I dont hear a pump.  thanks for the help.

It's probably manually connected to a valve via a cable. They are usually 2 or 3 position switches. Mine is 3 and they are Auto, Empty, and Recirculate.

My 95 has two separate livewell switches. Both are three position fill, empty, and recirculate. I had a problem at one time with the valves having stuff in them causing them not to function right. I took them apart and cleaned them out, and they have been great. Also check to make sure your pumps are pumping.
