Title: Springfield, MO
Post by: Figabytes on July 07, 2011, 10:19:31 PM
I'm going to be heading up to Springfield, MO in a few weeks for a business trip and was planning on packing a travel spinning rod combo.  I'm not familiar with the area.  Anybody know of a good public pond/lake in the area where I could do some bank fishing?

Well in Branson(30 miles away) there is Table Rock Lake. Lake springfield in there in Springfield but have never fished it in several years.

Stockton Lake to the north is only about 20 miles and will have a lot of access as well.  Then there is Tannycomo but it will be mostly trout.

Springfield lake, Wow it's been years but it was a lot of fun.  There is a lake just to the north east of town called Fellows it's a 10 hp limit lake and we used to catch a bunch over there and it used to have a lot of shore access.  It's been 20 years since I've shore fished that area.
