How maneuverable is the FastCat on the trolling motor? Seems like with out the resistance down the middle of the boat that it would actually allow your trolling motor to provide more productive power.
Mike:
I have a 75lb thrust minnkota. It pulls the boat well. Some of the other guys have the bigger 36 volt motors.
I chose the 75 because I like the remote feature especially when I'm in Biscayne bay for the convenience.Usually when I bass fish I use the foot controller in conjunction with the remote.

Have you ever fished her in a tree filled lake? Seems that a person as talented as me could get a stump inbetween the hulls and be in trouble :'(
If it is a giant stump you would be. But normal stumps the size of a car tire..... the boat with the
motor(s) trimmed up will pass over the stump if it is under the water.I have done so with big rocks.

The FastCat seems to sit very high in the water, what is the draft? The Legend I have on order is 14.5 inches, which seems to be quite a bit but it is a heavier boat
10 inches but... Mine sits deeper in the rear because of the ~xyz Motors.

:roll2: Well I think that is a small sacrafice for what you are carrying on the back of yours ;)
What size trolling motor shaft do you recommend on a FastCat, it looks like she sits really high out of the water.
MIKE. I USE THE 52" TROLLING MOTOR ON ALL THE BOATS. ERROL
