Post by: Bassthumb on February 16, 2005, 01:06:39 PM
What is the one bait you go to when nothing else seems to work?

I like to texas rig a 8" red shad worm   especially in the warmer months
bubble gum senkos work good too but only in clear water and if all else fails  a #0/2 hook and a couple of kernals of the green giant's best  thats the answer

Guy's I'm sorry to burst your bubbles.  There are no secret lures, it's what works best for you for the given conditions and the time of year.  And for confidence lures, that goes with the time of year.  Your best presentation in spring probably want do squat in summer or fall.  Not to mention pre and post spawn conditions.  My suggestions is to get out on the water and try lure and presentations you are comfortable with  to the time of year and adjust for the current conditions.

I would have to say that throwing a stingray grub on a grass bed with tide going out is the best during fall and winter.
