I really like the Red/Black and the triple fade on Beast's boat is BAD-ARSE!!! ~bb  Now that's a color scheme I would roll no doubt!

I believe there are only two Legends that have the triple fade, it's a tough process but something Legend was willing to do. They now have a standard fade line and I'm not sure if you could get the triple fade anymore.  :'(

From what I understood, the customer did not like the fade location on the only other 3 fade and Legend lost money on that boat. Not sure if it ever went out for sale or not. This was supposedly the reason they quit doing the 3.

It's got to be a bitch to match up the fade from the hull to the topcap and than you still have to match the console some folks want each side to be perfect and if its off just a smidge what's Legend left to do but build a new boat or at least the top cap and consoles

Dont get me wrong, Legend is one fine boat and my next one will be a Legend (one of these years), but I have always thought the fade on them were too defined, almost a line changing from one color to another. Fade jobs on cars I have seen gradually fade from one color to another.

Mike Cork

BA, it's impossible to fade like a car when you are dealing with flake. If you look close enough you will see the flake washed to both sides of the fade. Flake can't blend into each other like paint can.

Some colors come out much better than others. Lighter colors over dark colors.

I hear what you're saying James and agree that some of the fades I've seen on vehicles are a work of art but when painting a car they start with the base and work out to the clear coat.  When building a boat they start with the clear coat and work back into the fiberglass it's just not the same at all to compare that to a painted car.

Man I absolutely love my new boat. All I have to say is great things.  From the boat to the customer service is top notch.  Here's my ride. 2013 Alpha 211, 250 Mercury ProXS, HDS Touch 12 at console and Elite 7 HDI at bow ( both on RAM mounts, 2 Power Poles, and the Illusion trailer riding on 18" rims.   Needless to say I'm very thankful for this boat.
