Morning all.

Don you keep enjoying those grandkids. I can't believe the Twins are almost 1 year old already, time flies by!

Lip hope they figure that mole out.

Rodney hope your having a good day.

Sorry about complaining about the Family, I guess I was coming to the wife's defense the only way I knew how. I think most of it is you can tell someone but until they see the situation with their own eyes they just don't or won't understand. Then they strike out at whomever is closest to deal with it.

Everyone have a great day.

Mornin Y'all!

Don, you Spoil them Babies!!!!   ~roflmao

Good Morning Rodney, Lip.

Fred, my Mom took care of my Grandmother to almost the end, then the "Family" decides she needs to go into a home, a few weeks later she died.  My Mom lived with the guilt that she wasn't at home when she died until her grave.  Top that off by all the other siblings all of a sudden critiquing how she handled everything.  Funny how none of them were really interested until the bank accounts started being released.   ~rant

Anyways ....  rain here again this morning.  Was hot and muggy, and "dry" yesterday and the day before, I got the mowing done finally, and the grass was still wet.  Guess I'm hunkering down here again .... running out of stuff to make doofus movies about.

Hope everybody has a fantastic day!

Morning everyone and Fred  the Dermatologist did a Biopsy of the mole on my face  that started bleeding. She said she didn't think it was cancer and gave it some fancy name which I won't even try to spell lo lo but wanted to wait till the results came back to say for sure. Jim hope you can find something to keep you busy in all this heat and rain.

We fly back home tomorrow night.  We'll land in Austin 5:30 am Sunday morning. Time sure goes by quick when you're away from work.

Lip; Pray that the mole test results come back negative.

Afternoon all. Not a good day on the water, had a "gentleman" try to throw me out of a marina, gotta love those what make up the law on the fly, he loses. lo Boats all over the places I wanted to go, had a big fish on til it went under the boat and caught the line on a chine, oh well, a gazillion wakes, off the water by !0:30. Makes the good days better. ;D Donald , Enjoy the cool and the grand kids while you can! ;D Fred, don't let it get you down, they are just showing their ignorance and and guilt at not doing more. Jim, must be you need some down time, enjoy it. Lip, you sound like a friend, he had melanoma and now has stuff taken and biopsiesed almost every time he sees the dermatologist.

Nice quiet day here at the homestead.  No jobs have been assigned by she who shall be obeyed.  We cleaned the house yesterday leaving today totally open to do nothing.  Still hot outside so spent the day playing with my fishing stuff.  Put new line on some reels as part of the exercise to get ready for the Guntersville rally.  Also got the LSCR ready for some action on the river.  Might as well get some use out of it instead of just sitting in the rod rack looking pretty.  LSCR #2 is now in production and just might be ready for the Rally.  It will be nice to have a frog rod this year if not I am sure the guide has plenty.  Taking some reels down for sure just in case.

Just finished making a meatloaf for dinner tonight and my plans for tonight is to continue doing nothing for the rest of the day and tomorrow as well.  Wanted to go fishing on Tuesday but it looks like we have a tropical system hitting our area on Tuesday that will bring some much needed rain.

Lipripper

Evening Bud and hope y'all get that much needed rain. Enjoy your do nothing weekend. ~c~ ~c~

Greetings to everyone,

Mostly clear skies and 92dgrs here in Central Texas.  There is a chance of a thunderstorm later on tonight and 70% chance of one tomorrow.  Our flight from Anchorage to San Francisco was good we actually arrived 30 minutes early.  A lot of good that did we had to sit out on the tarmac due to a mechanical issue with the plane that was in our downloading spot.  We managed to get to our gate with 30 minutes to spare this time.   Our flight from SF to Austin was quick we had a heck of a tail wind I guess or I just slept great.  We made the trip in 3hrs  ~shade  We landed at Austin around 4am and I pulled into the garage here at 6am.  It felt good to sleep in my own bed  :)

Rodney; Glad you had the opportunity to get out on the water.  To bad about the break off thought  that's part of fishing too.  Enjoy those Ribs  ~beer~  :food :food

Lip;  Tks for the update on the mole sure glad to hear that the results came back negative.

Bud; Enjoy the R/R this evening.  I'm doing the same thing Relaxing and nothing else once I get off this computer.

To everyone have a peaceful evening and tight lines to those getting out tomorrow.

Looks like the weather is not gonna cooperate with my fishing this coming week.  A couple of tropical events on the way.  Expecting some rain starting Tuesday as the system comes ashore and then heads towards the outer banks of NC.  Thursday night and Friday the tropical storm that is now moving into the gulf will pass over Florida and then head up the coast past the Carolinas.  Current forecast is rain with a little wind possibly to 50MPH.  If I can get out on Wednesday then I might want to give it a try but will have to see what the weather is gonna do.

Morning all.

BIL came in this weekend to visit with Mom for a few days, that was good. She has finally agreed to taking pain pills now and they seem to help her quite a bit. How much they are hiding now is anyone's guess.

Got my hunting spot as ready as it can be for the opener on Sept 17 of Archery/Crossbow. Plot was not up yet on Saturday, but could see where enough rain had passed through to disolve the Lime and Fertilizer I had out down. Seeds should be sprouting I'd say this week at some point (takes about 2 weeks normally) and by the weekend prior to the opener when I go back down to check it should be up and growing. Also set out a Corn Feeder that Moultrie came out with that straps to a tree and holds a 40 lb bag of corn. In two weeks when I go back if it's empty I'll know they like it.

I set out 2 Game Cameras, one on each side of the plot, when I seeded it and I saw I had gotten some pics. Checked them and found that the deer are already moving through the area, as I expected, and that includes Doe, Fawns, and one nice 6-point Buck. See what else I get by the end of the next two weeks.

Shot and sighted in the new Crossbow with my Hunting Arrows and Broadhead Practice Points yesterday and man does that thing shoot! I quit shooting 2 at a time after cutting the vane off of one at 40 yards due to them hitting so close the were trying to get in the same hole! It has a scope with a drop compensator lines inside and using those I can hit with ease out to 60 yards where I want to. Not that I would probably ever shoot that far, but nice to know I could if I wanted to. 20-50 if I shoot it's going down.

Won't be out fishing much the next few months as the old Buck Hunting Fever has caught ahold of me again like it hasn't for years. Really makes a difference when you've got some ground to work with instead of fighting over the same spot on Public Ground. Thank god for the SIL.

Glad you made it back safe Don.

Everyone have a great day.

Evening to everyone,

Busy 1st day back at work.  Wow the vacation went by quick why can't work go by that fast  :surrender:

Today was partly sunny our temps ranged from 72 / 87 dgrs today here in Central Texas.  We got a 50% chance of rain tomorrow.  The wife spent the morning getting the yard cleaned up after all the rain.  Our John Deere riding mower decided to stop running while she was cutting the yard.  The Positive battery cable connector decide to break right at the battery connection.  She left it sitting right where it stopped.  She called me and told me the mower stopped.  ^-^

I told her to fire up the Troybilt Riding mower.  She called me back a couple hours later and told it me was acting up and just stopped ~xyz  So after a busy day at work I came home and worked on both mowers ~sweat ~sweat  Went to the parts store and bought a battery cable and made it work on the John Deere ;)   I opened the hood on the Troybilt and just started shaking my head :surrender:  I checked the oil and filled the gas tank back up and it started right up  ~c~

I guess the heat and humidity had gotten to her.  I mowed the yard again on a different setting and trimmed it now looks like a golf course putting green :)

Fred;  Good luck with the upcoming hunting season.  Hope your bag a big buck from your area.

Rodney; That food sure sounds great thanks for sharing it with us.  I love fresh veggies, ribs and pie also  ~c~  Glad your doctor's appointment and testing went well for ya also.

Lip; Hope you had a good day brother.

To all have a very pleasant day tomorrow and tight lines if you're out on the water.

Good Morning Y'all!

That food sure sounds good there Rodney, glad you got a clean bill of health.  I made some ribs on the grill Sunday too, but I'm sure they didn't taste anything near to yours.

Sounds like the lawn mowers missed you, Don.

Good Luck hunting Fred.

Good to see you on here Lip.

We have actually had some nice days recently, sort of.  It has been in the low 80s, with rain rain rain.  Whenever we get a few dry hours we end up mowing just to try to keep up with the lawn.  Not much else happening except some shop time when it isn't unbearably muggy, and making of a few videos.

Hope everybody has a fantastic day today.

Mornin men.  Hard to believe AUG is almost over.  Seems like it just got here.  Not to worry, tho' - I am definitely ready for fall.  We have a cold front coming in tomorrow sometime.  Supposed to bring drier air and cooler temps with it.  Am curious to see which gets here first - that or the TD lurking out over the Atlantic.

Looking forward to the holiday weekend.  No plans to go anywhere.  Just gonna hang out.  Wish all a safe, relaxing Labor Day!
