I would love to have a Chronarch 100 D7 or a TD Ito. Both brand spanking new, of course.

The TD Zillion type r was my grail, but since I sourced a pair of them NIB I have switched to the above.

A 100D7 is atop my list. I really really want one something bad.

And here I am with just one Shimano Curado...

Ive owned a Steez 100SHA, Steez LTD ITO SV and a Megabass IS79 (still a Steez). The only one of those I was kinda impressed with was the 100SHA. We're talking 500 dollar reels and they felt weak and under powered. I was kinda disappointed.

Good to know. I guess I'll stick to the bad azz Tatula line lol. The more I use that thing the more impressed I am with it.

Just got my holy grail reel. It's lightly used and got it for a steal locally. I think I'm done for now. ~roflmao

Nice catch. The 100MG is an awesome reel. I loved mine so much, I had Lee build a rod around it for one style of jig!

I'm thinking about making it saltwater worthy because it'll go perfectly with one of my h2o xpress rods. They both weight next to nothing, but I heard cores don't do well in saltwater.

I'm really not sure. Hopefully some of the coastal guys can comment. I've never fished in saltwater

What is the worst thing about being a bank fisher? Always having to watch out for dog poop LOL

Great reel Roberto. I love it.

Core is no good for salt water due to the magnesium frame.

Darn it. I guess I'll use the curado for that then.

I have used my Curado in saltwater and it's doing fine. Just make sure you rinse it well, a bit more than what you normally do for a spinning reel.
Baitcasters "bring" more water into the reel's mechanism than the spinning reels do.

This is very true, one reason why I use spinning gear more than baitcasters in salt, although there are times I do use them.  Curados are pretty popular with the inshore guys around here, they wade and dunk them, then treat them to a little TLC when they get home, and fish them for years.

Around here, BCs are the way to go for flounder since they like to run off with the bait before committing to eating it.  Having the ability to free spool the reel quickly puts the baitcaster ahead of the game.  You can do it with a bait runner spinning reel, but they are a lot heavier in my opinion.

I would agree the D series Chronarch is up there but I can't imagine much beating a Zillion Type R. Maybe a J Dream!
