I discovered the mini-stick design last year and man has it caught fish and many fish species. Molds for the design are probably for sale somewhere, but I haven't seen any.

The main attribute of the mini-stick rigged on a ball head jig wacky style is it's action either retrieved horizontal to the bottom or allowed to sink. Similar to a Senko, the whole lure quivers and especially the tips. This one caught over a dozen fish schooled just off a flat in 4' to include bass, mostly crappie, sunfish and a 3lb sucker, from 4-5pm.

I twitched in place - it got blasted !; I retrieved it steadily with pauses - it go blasted !; I let it sit on bottom three seconds / lifted the rod - it got blasted. In all cases the lure had a unique action similar to a Senko but different because of the length and diameter as well as using a light jighead hooked in the middle.

Also not the color - clear. What's not seen in the photo is the trace of glitter applied to the surface of the stick using glue for soft plastics on the surface and rolling the lure in craft glitter.
Whether it enhanced the lure in some way, I'll never know, but I do have confidence in adding colored flash to soft plastic lures.

This is an example of glitter added to the outside.

Looks like a ZMan Finesse TRD hooked Wacky.

kind of does look like a TRD, never thought to wacky rig one. I may have to try this!!!

Make sure it isn't too thick or the action is lost, 2-2.5" max. length.

3 inch BPS Sticko, great little bait, my favorite finesse dropshot bait, wacky or nose hooked.. Cheap too!!!

Came up with a few others that have extra wiggle on the way down or when retrieved with pauses and rod twitches:

They've proven themselves by catching all size fish and different fish species.

How are you heating those up to melt them together from your scraps?

I use a razor blade, candle and a battery powered soldering iron.
I hold the end of one part over the flame for a second and then the other.
Line them up so the lure parts are centered and in a straight line and hold together for 3 seconds.
The soldering iron is used to smooth the seam so there is no skin weakness.
The parts are now one.

Amazing the hybrid ideas you can come up with that work better than either of the original lures ! I have a photo album of hundreds of photos showing the lure and fish caught - many times of different species from 7 lb catfish to 5" pan fish and of course bass. Very few soft plastic lures used are the original design.

Well I love the idea, so thank you for sharing!  I've got a bunch of scraps in my trash compartment on my boat.  I'm going to make some of these once I can get back to my boat after the wildfire is done.

Apparently they have been making little baits for some time. Reading the other thread about rigged worms I saw these Creme Angle Worm 2 1/4" - Rigged

These were caught today:

I caught fish on an old feather jig a week ago and figured why not make one?

(The bottom hybrid is a Joker grub tail fused to a grub body.)

The feather jig caught fish immediately:

Like to see some of your creations. More ideas the better!

Strike King has a 2 3/4" version of their Ocho Stickbait. It's called the Ned Ocho.

Salty, I like the variation you have there though with the ribbed section in the middle. I can envision how it could give the lure more wiggle like you said.

Good stuff, keep it coming.   ~c~  ~sun

Forgive me if I have already posted some of these, but they work for all species ! :
Spike tail:

Thin wavy tail:

T-Grub - the legs quiver like crazy on the fall or when retrieved horizontal:

Craw claw from a bass lure added to grub body:

(Note glitter added using Mend-It soft plastic lure glue; great subtle flash in murky water!)

...some other claw part used:

Crappie Magnet glow tail added to clear plastic body for murky water:

Note: The more fish caught, the cloudier the clear but scratched up the plastic becomes.

Large sucker couldn't resist this Magnet Tail added to grub body:

Largemouth like them too:

Looks like a fisherman from New York State work, the fish attached to the lures absolutely show that they work.
