So like everyone, I'm always wondering how fellow anglers locate or decide where they are going to fish.
In Wisconsin we are BLESSED with such a variety of whaters to fish we can hit the pond one day in the morning and fish mid day on the River and end the day fishing the Lake.  :)

But the real challenge is........HOW DO I MAKE THE CHOICES and INCREASE MY CHANCES OF HAVING SUCCESS??

So how do you decide?
Where do you look to get GOOD information from to make the best choice?

Now, most of us do more than one thing....so you can choose TWO CHOICES in the above POLL.

If you are willing, after taking the Poll, PLEASE share a few short ideas of your own or feel free to EXPLAIN your choices.
If you use more than TWO......let US KNOW....even if you do them ALL before each trip.

If you happen to not live in Wisconsin........BIG DEAL....take the Poll anyway and let us know where you do usually fish at.

I have so many local contacts that let me know what body of water is hot at the time. Local tackle shops help out a little.
Now there is no one giving up spots so I still have a lot of work to do, which is fine by me. That's half the fun and it changes hourly so what worked last weekend is probably changed.
Some of my best days have been map study days and no experience on that body of water.
It makes me think about the season and weather. Narrows it down for me better than experience.
