Probably a longshot, but anyone got their hands on the Xtasy 756 model yet?  I actually asked Brice/Gary for this model well over a year ago, and now that it's finally here, I just can't pull the trigger for some reason.  TBH the max weight seems a bit low, I would have expected it to be able to handle 2oz+ weight setups, like the 805C or even the 795C- but I guess since it's not a "flipping category" rod is keeping the rating down.

So is this not suitable for flipping/pitching, and more of a deep/offshore jig rod?  I mean, I  P&F with my other xtsy casting rods, in fact other than the 753 which is kinda of a dedicated shakey head/finesse worm setup, the other 3 are pretty much always setup for pitching creature baits in various weights, ie 754 for weightless creature, and two 755's for 3/8-5/8, DX795 for 3/4-1oz and 805 for 1.5-2oz.  So not sure where I would slot in the 756 even though I thought I wanted one for a long time lol...

I don't have one, and like you not sure where I'd fit it in my arsenal. These rods are so light and so sensitive. Anything I'd need that much power for I'd be using braid and not need that sensitive of a rod.

Never had an issue with my 736 and 746 rods after a day of frog fishing so not sure I would spend that kind of money as a frog rod. I'll will fish a frog all day this time of year, and it might be welcoming to my elbow to have and even lighter rod.

I would think it would be the cats meow for offshore jig fishing as well. Working a football jig in 20 plus feet of water, there would be a lot of hookset power. I now the hair jig is getting popular with live scope, the sensitivity to feel a floating bite and the back bone to drive that big hook through might make for a perfect scenario as well.

Same, I am plenty set with my 735/736 Frogging setups... agree it seems more suited to deep offshore, which isn't really a thing in Florida lol.

It's like I kinda want it, but don't really need it and not sure what to do with it other than frogging, where it's overkill really, like you said.  Fishing with my other xtasy's is such a joy, though... it's very noticeable when I switch back to an XP even even DX.
