At it again before 6am. MUGGY 72° with the water temp up 2 more degrees to 82.7°.

The first 2 stops were recon on past topwater hot spots. Zero.

First stop was a short one on a ledge with a long point. Nada.

Downriver to a huge creek with lots of rip rap. Nein.

Downriver almost to the dam on a main channel stop loaded with laydowns under rip rap. Nyet.

I've burned through a 2 hour major feed from 7am to 9am and the sun is over the trees and the lake fleas will be out soon.

Last stop is on an old ridge top before the lake was born. What the Hell, the wind is blowing, first time in 6 weeks!!! I'm frantically trying on a chatterbait. SIGH. But.. movement on the pan optics...3,4 now 6 fish 10 feet off the rocky bottom in 40 feet of water. Swim bait, swim jig and soft jerkbait right in their mouth without so much as a sniff.

I guess I can name everything I threw. Spybait, frog, trick worm, ned, 2 crankbaits, medium and deep, grub, swim bait, PowerBait trick worm and probably more.

Guys I'm in a major funk. I've never been on 3 straight skunks, even in the dead of summer. Maybe I'm getting an additude adjustment. Maybe I just suck.

Tight lines.

Summer Dulldrums can be brutal.... When I get spent like this I hit the bank and start fishing any cover I can find. Eventually will start catching again somewhere down the bank.

Thanks for the report, it lets everyone know it's tough out there
