Fished the Marshlands for the first time since this past summer. Wow, how time flies.

Made it to my launch point at Zero Dark Thirty. There was a chill in the air, especially since it was blowing from the North.

There were some duck hunters in the immediate area, so I started fishing the perimeter canal. The area was void of any signs of fish.

Once I had plenty of distance from the duck hunters I entered the flats.

Had a few followers but they wouldn't commit to the swimbait, so I switched to a t-rig with a stickbait and started connecting.

No size to the bass but it was reassuring that they were willing to strike.

The wind started to pick up making boat positioning pretty challenging. I made short run back to the perimeter canal hoping the bass were deep. But no. They were shallow in the flats with all the wind.

I entered the flats again and began connecting with solid bass. Biggest went a little over 3.5 lbs.

The outing was challenging due to the wind, but fortunately, I figured out a pattern that kept me busy. Lol.
Ended up boating 12 bass.

Thank you for reading.
