I have just bought a Revo SX from Delo's and I have to say it seems to be a VEEERRRRRYYYYYYY nice reel. I've had it on the rod and it feels great......can't wait to get it loaded up with my new 40# power pro and get it out on the water.

.....but the funny thing with this reel is..........it was made in Korea.
1. It was made in Korea.
2. Shipped to the States.
3. Shipped back to Korea.  :roll2: :roll2:

and the worse (or best) thing about this is, in Korea the same reel would of cost me over $250.00 US  :bang :bang

Good luck with your new reel and line.  i have never used a Revo before but it sounds like alot of people use them.  And you will never use another braid after using power pro.

Nickk

you want me to get you a deal on a Kia?

I second Rajin-Cajuns opinion of the SX and STX...........
I have both the SX in 6.4:1 and 7.1:1 and there are workhorses...........
The STX I have hid from momma and it will come out next month/but I do have some Red 40# PowerPro already spooled up on it-6.4:1 ratio..............

I do believe you'll get many years and satisfaction out of that reel BassinKorea, but sorry about the Price Gouging..........Duty Tarriffs and all

Keep the Rod Tip up and the Hook Sharp

topcat

I don't have the SX or the STX but I do have the S and it cast great and is flawless.....IMO it cast farther than the other two so if you are looking for distance and a workhorse reel look at the S it is well worth the money........congrats on your new reel...if they are like the old 4600 they will last a life time......

I have to give props to the 5500C too.  I have about 6 or so of them.  A couple are pushing 15 years old and are just as smooth as the day I bought them.  True workhorses!

Sure, of course I can. I'll send you a PM as soon as I test it out.
In fact, when I got home from work my new 50#power pro was waiting in the mail box for me, so that means I'll be fishing with it on Sunday.

I would be interested in what you think of that red power pro.  I have heard it has a tendency to break more than the other colors.

Don't know why, but this is what I have heard.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

really?  I have some red but it's 40lb so I don't think I'm going to find out!  All I have to compare it to is 15 lb yellow and green PP.

Dug

Sorry that was Loonytoon that was going to spool up the red.  Nickk have you spooled up the red on anything at all?

Yes, I have it on my MH and H b-casters(Curado-D, Revo-STX).  I'm kind of a newb to heavy lb test line but I've used 4/15 PP for quite a while on spinning gear.  It's nice and I've caught several fish with it, even in clear water!  I've never had it break either, it's not as easy to see above water as I'd like but easier than the moss green.

THanks I was looking to go to the high vis yellow myself but haven't found it locally yet. Looks like I will be ordering it online.

The yellow is great for line watching but it turn white(color wears off) really quickly, at least the old stuff did.

Dug

White makes it that much better.

Thanks

The REVOs are great reels!  I have a STX-HS and I absolutely love it.  I use mine on an mbr844c IMX(7'0" H) for all sorts of things including big texas rigs, jigs of all sizes, big spinnerbaits, frogging, and even buzzbaits.
