Do any of you trailer your boats with the cover on?????? Just wondering about the pro's & con's?????  I have always covered mine, just to try and keep it cleaner and plus most our trips to TCTC is 4 hours one way.......lots of road grime & small rocks.....

I tried to trailer mine a couple of times and found that it put a lot drag on the truck.I guess it has a lot with the cover too. I would rather pull it with the cover on for longer trips . But on the short ones it stays off.

For long trips or if it is going to be parked "outside", I ALWAYS put the cover on.

I agree...short trips no cover...anything over 2 hours I use the cover.

Make sure its a cover made for that! I tried that and had a  :o  balloon behind me that ripped to pieces  :'( . It wasn't a trailering cover  ~shhh.

Thanks guys,

I just hate to see the boat all dirty and then have to sit in it all day long knowing its dirty. If your tow truck is covered in road film, just think about your boat......

I agree on long trips I trailer mine with a cover on also.  You defintely need a travel cover made to travel.  Only bad thing is sometimes the straps or cover can rub and put some scratches in the gel coat.

if you see those scratches begin have that area padded or even move the strap. That constant movement will rub right thru the clear coat and if it's got flake under the clear it and it rubs thru  fixing flake can get expensive multi step process.
