Anyone know what gauge wire nitro runs from the battery from the trolling motor plug? I just wondering if anyone has replace the stock wire with like 6 or 4 gauge wire and would it be worth it? I priced it at lowes and it would be around 80 buck to rewire. Do yall think I would notice a big difference?

What TM are you running on the front.  You probably would see a difference if you are running a 36V TM, 101 pound thrust TM.  But if you are running a 24V 80 or so, you shouldn't see a significant difference...

What year is the boat and did it come from the factory with four wires or only two?

So were all four wires hooked up to your trolling batteries and the motor? Even if they were if you have four wires there you can just double them up and use them the way they are.

just got off the phone with tracker and nitros have 8 gauge wire. I always thought a 24 volt system ran two batterys. Battery 1 has a wire going from the postive to the tm plug, a wire from the negative to battery two's postive and a wire from the negative to the tm plug. Now what i have is each one indepently wired to the plug explaining the 4 wires. which way is more efficent? And please explain the double the wires up thing?

I have an 82 lb motorguide tour edition and in the manual it says you should use 6  gauge wire. I also only use two of the wires. Battery 1 has a wire hooked to the positive
and that runs to the bow. It then has a wire going from the negative of battery 1 connecting to the positive of battery 2. Battery 2 then has a wire hooked to the negative that runs to the bow of the boat. I hope that explains every thing.

On my last boat, I had 4 wires and I think they were for a 12/24 system.  If you are running a straight 24 or 36 volt system you only need one red and one black rigged like you posted above.

On my 929 I have one battery under the left storage compartment and the 2nd TM battery under the right storage compartment, oh about 7 foot apart from each other.  The 4 wires join some place under the boat and then two wires run to the front to hook into the trolling motor plug.
