how is the leg action compared to the Stanley Ribbit Frogs

texlwedge

Personally, I think it is very comparable. I tested the RanaToro against the Stanley Ribbit yesterday evening after I received some. The leg action on the RanaToro gave the same if not more gurgle/kicking action. I wasn't trying to catch fish, just seeing what the action of the lure was going to be. Keep in mind, that the RanaToro is a larger frog than the Ribbit, and a lot heavier. I would suggest using a rod with some backbone for good hooksets. MH/H. Any retrieve style you use with a Ribbit can be utilized with the RanaToro.  I will be doing some fishing trials in the morning. Yes, it is very comparable.  I think the Rana Toro gets more gurgling and bubble action at lower speed retrieves, while the Stanley Ribbit gets more when you are burning it back.  I agree with a strong rod, I always use a Heavy Rod.
