I bought my boat from my father in law a while back.  The lakes that we fished were pretty stumpy, so needless to say it has a couple of scratches.  I would like to have it repainted and get all the decals redone.  It's a 2003 Triton V186 Magnum.  I live in the Huntsville Alabama area.  Anyone know where I can get this done and an estimated cost for such a venture?

I am sure any Triton dealer would do it for you, but you may come out cheaper by taking it to a body shop and see if they will do it for you. You may have to contact Triton to get the decals. You could possible go to a sign shop and have some made close to the Triton ones or you could personalize your boat and have some custom ones made.

I would ask what is your reasoning for wanting to repaint a 6 year old boat?   I don't honestly see it ever paying for itself.  Its not like its going to rust.   I would spend that money on electronics or other upgrades.

What's rust or retail value got to do with it, the guy clearly saying stumps scratched it and messed up the decals - maybe he just want to enjoy his boat and feel good about its looks -  :-* :-* :-*
I know i hate looking at my boat and finding new chips and nicks from the road or stumps or whatever and very often think about re-coating or fixing it even if its minor, for me its a major bummer, i just like to keep my toys in tip top shape.

Now back to your question cmansell, I would start with the obvious - asking around the boat dealers and marinas around you and run a few google searches .
Are you looking for a complete paint job or just fixer upper and new decal.
I sent you a PM with a company who sell all the original parts and decals for triton, good place to start.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Because he want to.  ;)   He might already have the electronics he wants or he might just have the money for both.

Come on Blake. You and I both know good looking boats catch more fish. That's why I get skunked so often in my ugly boat. Also, diesel powered boats catch bigger fish..It's in the scriptures written in the Fisherman's Bible.
Here Ya Go Cman, Triton Decals ....
