I have 2 mh 7'3" bait casting rods and 1 6'9" parabolic baitcasting rod and the 3 are easily my favorite rods. I also have a couple of St Croix rods, some Shimano rods and a Grandt All American pro and the Carrot Stix, in my opinion are the best of the bunch.

I just bought one a few weeks ago, used it one day and so far love it. The only other rod I own is BPS Extreme. The carrot is hands down: lighter and more sensitive. At 150$ it cant be beat.

For $150 or less, I prefer the Shimano Crucial. Never liked the LTX version of the CS.

exactly the opposite here. I have a crucial I don't care for that much> Beast did you ever try balancing out the LTX?

I have to CS LTX's and love them both. I have one for froggin and flippin and the other one is for shakey heads and small soft swimbaits.

No, couldn't stand the grip on it. I have small hands and the EVA is to small for me. Don't really see how anyone with larger hands fishes them comfortably. I do like my gold though.

hmm I don't even use the grips, accept maybe to get more torque casting.

That's the problem. I palm the reel, so it's not a problem then, but when I cast, I feel like I'm going to throw it across the lake.

I have a e21 Carrot Stix and also Falcon Cara's...G. Loomis....Crucials....Cumara and
Daiwa Light and tough and Steez......IMO the CS is not as good as any of the rods I have listed and fish with daily......I tested the CS rod for over Two weeks in all kinds of conditions and and I was disappointed with its prefromance....On a scale of 1-10 I rate it a 5 and I am being liberal......

Topcat, which CS did you try and with what line and did you balance it? I have a crucial I will swap for your CS in a heartbeat.

I sold all my rods off Other then my Steez rods for Carrot stixs. I mainly fish the Carrot stix golds but I have a few LTX models and there awesome too.. I was a Die hard Loomis fan for years and fished nothing but them till I bought my first Steez and then I fell in love with super light rods.. then I fished Carrot stixs and was amazed by how light they was and how well they handled. Buy them and you will love them

Hi Dug yes I balanced the rod and I used 15 lb fluorocarbon Line.... I have the CLTX731MH-F-C Line 3/8 - 7/8 .....I can't trade with you because I have given the rod and the new reel to my grand son.....for a gift for making the President honor roll in school......
