Most unusual place you've caught Bass?

I've got two places to share that I never would have believed held bass until I caught them there.  The first is notable because it's where I caught my biggest fish, a 7lber.  On Page Street in Stoughton, there is a section of what's called Bear Swamp that's right next to the Avon recycling facility.  There is room enough to park one vehicle roadside, and probably only enough room for one or two fishermen at most at any given time.  Like most small ponds, it gets choked out almost immediately once the hot weather sets in.  It's probably only 3 or 4 feet deep at maximum, but there are tons of bluegill and smaller baitfish as well as frogs, snakes and a prehistoric sized snapping turtle that almost broke my rod.  I work for a parcel delivery service and as I was doing the route, I was constantly seeing people fishing with live bait.  Unfortunately, the losers also left all their trash behind.  This is not a clean place, just so you know.  But the first time I threw a topwater bait there, I was rewarded by the biggest fish I've ever landed.  I've caught several other smaller bass there as well.  There is tons of structure, weeds and milfoil all the way up the surface, and there are pads and many stumps, so a ton of cover.  My recommendation would be to throw a worm into an open pocket of water or try a scumfrog there.

The second place was even more surprising because it was inside an industrial park.  Anyone familiar with the Crown Colony office park in Quincy knows that there are several man made ponds (4 in all).  Yes they all hold bass.  I found this out because curiousity got the better of me one night while I was going to pick up some food.  So I threw a PowerWorm into the pond on Congress Street and was rewarded on the first cast with a 1lb largemouth.  Naturally, I had to try all of the ponds and I quickly found out that Bass...is the only species of fish in these ponds.  Apparently, the owners of the property had the pond stocked for reasons unknown, but Bass was the only species they decided on.  The waters in all these ponds are extremely shallow with the exception of the one behind 400 Crown Colony.  The pond on the bottom of the hill that leads up to the Marriott is the most productive.  I caught a 5lb bass in the lily pads near the shore by the sidewalk.  I can't imagine that there are a ton of big bass in these places, but the fact that they are there year after year always amazes me.  Can't wait to hear some other stories.

to me this was unusual and lucky, to others maybe not.  I had to work in Kingston, NY a few years ago.  I was staying at a Holiday inn.  There was a little creek right behind the Holiday Inn.  I went back there to look at it.  Looked terrible-lots of junk in it like shopping carts, etc.  Water was chocolate colored.  I did see lots of carp jumping.  The first week I was there I got some bluegills and rock bass on in-line spinners.  I went back the next week and the water was very deep after a torrential rainfall.  Caught a bunch of bass one night, one after the other.  Nothing big, but lots of action on the in-line spinners for fish in the 1-3 pound range.
