Our February tournament has been moved from BB Hosston due to unsafe conditions to Red River Pool 5. We'll launch from Red River South Marina.

Sunrise is 7:08am so we'll go at safe light before then. Weather is calling for 41* at blast off warming to 65* by weigh-in at 3:00pm with ESE winds 5-10mph.

Chip can't make this one, some BS about work or something lo. So I'll be taking the $$ and we should be there by 5:50am.

Remember to bring some lures/fishing stuff or $$ for the UBCS door prizes!  :-*

Look forward to seeing everyone Sunday! ;D

Guess he got real busy! lo

OK folks, sorry for the late notice. For our tourney tomorrow, the barge turn-around and Cooley's will be off-limits. I'll go over the areas before we launch. See everyone in the morning! ;D

Talk about last minute!!!  This is UNSAT!!

I understand, and apologize again. Due to recent discussions on UB we started asking questions but did not get an answer from local law enforcement until yesterday afternoon.

Our rules state:            15.   All state laws and club rules must be followed. Any team found to be in violation of a state law (ex. Lights, no wake zones, etc.) will be subject to disqualification......  Since trespassing is against the law, we had to make this decision.

Once again, I apologize for the late notice. It was a miscommunication between leadership that word didn't get out yesterday. We try hard to keep abreast of anything that will affect our tournaments and pass on any changes as soon as we can.

Sorry I couldn't get on yesterday.  Here is the story.  I was asked by club members if Cooleys is private property, I read the tread about the barge turn around and although there is some informative information I didn't want to take it at face value, so I put a call in to the Boosier sheriffs, Donnie Keith on Thursday to get the straight scoop from the guy that has to enforce it.  On friday, he returned my call....I explained the situation to him and the following is paraphrased "...I will not give you my opinion or a guess, Cooleys is private property period....

Since the question was asked and I found an answer we looked at the rules and and the following applies:
15.   All state laws and club rules must be followed. Any team found to be in violation of a state law (ex. Lights, no wake zones, etc.) will be subject to disqualification.  Trespassing is against the law.

As the appointed stewards of the club, the board members can not put the club in a bad light or worse, a possible liability issue.

I apologize for the late notice

Just to let you guys know, all the local trails Tournament Director's have been notified that Cooley's/barge turnaround/Steven's Lake (Red River Parish) are all private property and enforcement for trespassing laws will be done accordingly.  I have contacted:  B.O.S.S., H&W, ABA, Bud Light Trail, and Media Bass.  If any of your members fish other clubs, they might want to pass on this information to their TD's.
