launched out of buddy vines and fished all new stuff( between buddies and a few miles from Gorgus) from 11:45- 3:30. Water temp was 48-49 and visibility was 1-2 inches at best. that old River keeps kicking my bass, i ended up with empty livewell once again. I had a few Nibblers on a shaky head in about 15 foot of water but that was it.. Still at the end of the day i enjoyed it, saw some interesting spots if there would have been water in them and fresh green grass..

i tried alot of different lures and depths as well. Deep diving crankbaits, big spinnerbaits, Heavy football head jigs, finesse jigs, flipping wood( no grass around) and a few other im not thinking of im sure..

At least you were able to go fishing and run your boat.

We were on Mitchell and put a good sack together. E caught one I estimate at 6 or better, and I managed to put a couple 4s in the boat. plus let a couple bigs pull off that would be in the 3-4 range. We managed a few decent spots that were over 2 pounds. Had we executed perfectly, we could have sacked up 21 lbs. Not bad when the morning temp was in the high 20s. I love Feb

It was muddy on mitchell too. lets you sneek up on em  ~shhh

side note, there were 2 big tournaments going on and it took high 16s to win each.

Good luck Naish!!

Sorry Shanomac!!! No need to feel bad.

Just trying to tell my buddies how Mitchell was.

Hint: When the water is muddy, go SHALLOW with big, dark (or bright) baits that the bass can find. these same baits tend to catch the girls too. did I mention SHALLOW???? oh yeah, and GRASS!!!!!
