We are launching from the state park Jim, I'll get the gates open for everyone.

Take 20 east and follow the signs, I have dirrections here but need to find them and will post them along with the launch times in a bit.

Take I-20 east to the athens exit (HWY 9). Go north on 9 til you turn right on 518 in athens, then follow 518 until it stops at 146 and turn right and you will see the Claiborne State Park on your left.

I'll open the gates or post the codes once I get them, blast off should be about 5:40 but will be adjusted based on conditions if need be.  Launch and weigh-in at the state park launch I plan on making a trip down to camp so I'll have better info in a few days

Guys the road work is done between Minden and Claiborne, much faster.

Get off I-20 at the Minden Exit turn left and drive until you see the Wal-Mart turn Right on 79 follow to Homer turn right on south 3rd street and right again off 3rd to 146 follow to State Park on your left.

Gate Code is 1125 if you get there before I open it.

Once in the park go straight in and past the native center to the beach once you see the water turn left and follow the board walk to the launch it will be on your right and is an easy launch to use but not a a whole lot of room to park.  15/20 spots I'd guess so get there early and if you open the gate leave it open

Son in law and I fished until 1:00 then gave up. Lake had us woped, we threw every in boat and could not catch a 12 inch fish. Lots of 8-11 in bass and landed brem biting plastics. Could not contact Fogy to tell him we were leaving no cell singal at all.

Thanks Jim, looked for your truck at weigh-in and D said she hadn't seen you all afternoon so figured you called it a day.  It was a hard day for everyone
