Thanks Chip. I've never been to this lake before. Is there any dangers about this lake I need to be aware of?

Bobby,

I have only been on the lake once....maybe some of the guys that have been over there can give you a better read.  I do know the boat roads are not marked.  I was following a local guy and he basically got us to the hot side.....after that most of the other boats I saw were idling around...

Sorry I can't be more help....

Southwest of Marshall Texas. I think you take I 20 to hwy 43 turn left and follow signs. Steve or Chip should be along to give better directions.

Actually, that's about it. :D  Follow 43 south through Tatum. There will be a sign pointing to a left turn a few miles after the red light in Tatum. Turn right at the next sign and there is the State Park. Follow the signs after the gate to the ramp.

Bobby Saffel

Is there an entry fee/launch fee? If so, how much?

BassmanRudy

$3. Pay at the gate w an envelope they have already.

The shack doesn't open till 0800 so be sure to get your TX license before the tourney! $16 for one day and $58 annual (through August). There is a $5 fee for doing it on-line.

Bobby Saffel

I've already got my TX fishing licenses. I went with the annual because I think this isn't gonna be my only fishing trip in TX this year.

Bobby you can follow us to hot side, layed down a track on my  gps a few weeks ago on a pre fish trip. Their are some rebars in 30 ft of water and some trees just under the water in spots. Most areas we were in you could idle threw the trees etc, just like caddo.

Thanks Jim. I'll take you up on it.

TCTC,

The polls closed and we have a winner.  Launch will be at 0800.
Weigh-in will be at 1500.

We will be passing out AOY and BB of the year after weigh-on.

here is the money break out for this year:
$20 per person club dues
$5 per person BB of the year (if one team member wants in the BB both have to be)
$30 per boat tourney fee

So for a two man team the total will be $80....the more exact change the better..

See you all at Martin Creek Sunday morning

Well the iPod is at the bottom of Cypress between the park and the Parks Rd ramp.:'(  But I've got it on my phone so we're good to go! lo

Russ199A

Oh snap...that was a ton of music.  ~fl
:'(  Sorry to hear about that Steve, that I-pod's been around the world and back again many times and after all that it chose to go in the drink at home. Little things that me wonder.

Can we join the ALBC and/or TBF right at a later date or does it have to be the first tournament of the year?

BassBUFF

Pretty sure you can join later, like next month, but Chip has the best info on that.

Yeah, that iPod just flew out one day. Funny thing is, my phone has more storage than the pod did! So all the tunes, plus more, are still around. :))

Bobby,  I just got the ALBC information in the mail yesterday.  We have to have our members turned in on 1 March.  Cost is $30 for membership.....there is also a big bass every 6 months and a big stringer of the year....those are additional to get in. ($4 last year) I will talk about it at the tourney as well.  We have to have 12 members.  This year we are eligible for all the ALBC tourneys since this is our second year.  Also I have the tickets for the boat raffle that the club also gets a % of the sales we do.  I will have those tickets Sunday as well..

I am looking for a volunteer to head the ALBC stuff for us if you are interested...

In all fairness to Brent, he was very up front and said he just wouldn't be able to dedicate the time needed through the first part of the year (focusing on a different trail), but would do if needed.  I appreciate his honesty, so I am offering it out there.  Might be a good reference for anyone looking for appraisal bullets, etc....
