How long do you have to wait to use the boat after having keel guard installed?

Depends on the style if it's one of the 3M stick on type you can hit the water after you install it.

The best one's are the Hamby's keel guard. It's a bit more labor intensive and has to sit overnight but is the best protection on the market. It's better to have one installed by someone that has all the equipment to install them. Cost is about $750.00 installed. But well worth every penny.
The 3M stick on one's are about 5/16 of an inch thick and if you part on sharp rocks they can be penetrated. Hamby's gives you about an inch thick protection where you need it most.

On my old Ranger I installed a keel guard and was fishing later that afternoon . When I got this one it had a Hambys on it and has done fantastic. It is definitely a lot thicker.
