Where is Hosston?

A little advice donot join TCTC.  Thats a bunch of weird guys.  They fish like the old wagon train movies.  They circle the wagons(boats) hold hands and fish. Really strange to watch. On second thought its not something you would want to see - its not pretty. Except for Laurie I do not know anyone in that club that is pretty.

Besides they are going to get beat so bad at the Shootout this year they will have to disband the club from the embarrassment.

Hosston is not of Shreveport...probably 30 miles or so.  It is actually called Bayou Hosston.  Not a very large lake.

No matter how we fish...we have put a whooping on the LJBC 2 years in a row.  ~roflmao

You know ,our clubs are kinda like family now..........when you guys look at TCTC doesnt it make you think of your Daddy? You know we should dedicate a song to you guys......Yeah thats it..WHOS YOUR DADDY?

Jared LeBlue

Me and my Dad went up their last Sunday. I missed one about an hour into it on a black neon tube. My dad caught a 2.5#er on a black/blue tube. Water temp was around 50 degrees and the water was gin clear, I mean I could see the bottom in 7ft of water. The grass is still green and plentiful. The fish were buried in it at the tree base's.
My 3 cents,

Thanks for all the advice on TCTC!!!! I have almost changed my mind on Bayou Hosston. I might go to Dorcheat instead, if I can get my boat in it. The white bass are starting to run up there and I might go mop up on them this weekend. I always launch from Minden and run to just south of the interstate and fish that big cut on the right. I have flat more slayed um there over the past several years. So, as of 5:25P I am still undecided, will see in the morning. Just depends on my mood I guess......

Any of ya'll fish Rayburn over in E. Texas??? I grew up there and absolutely love it. As a matter of a fact, my wifes father has a camphouse there. Will be fishing it alot more this summer.

Fished Hosston this morning. We fished a work Fruitjar Tourny. Had a blast. We had 5 boats show up. Weigh in was at 11:30. My partner caought 4 bass this morning with the largest at 3.12. The other three he caught we about 2# each. We won big fish and largest stringer. Three other fish were brought to the ramp. One was 3.9 and the rest were around the 2# range also. I cant speak for the other fishermen, but we were using black and blue tubes and lizards.

Okay...now that I have more time....I was in a hurry when I posted last friday...I had to go to a wedding over in E.Texas. So, all the fish we caught was on Black blue tube and lizard and all of the fish were holding tight to the trees and laydowns. The water was very pretty. It reminds me of Flag lake on Barksdale, except with clearer and deeper water.

Wildcat, you have to go up to Uncle Jethrow's barn, turn left at the hay bail, go about 100 yards and take a right throw the palmetto patch, then you go to the Budweiser can( the 16 oz. not the 12) and take another right, you will see some cows on your left, don't turn there that will take you aunt Ethel's house. Just keep straight past the cows and you will see a fork in the road ( not the kind you eat with, you know they won't leave a good eating utensil on the side of the road up there) take a left and go down til you see the dirt road on the right, take that road for a bout a mile then turn at the cotton field next to the John Deer Tractor. Then go another mile and and turn on coke bottle road and that will take you there. :roll2:

Dang Rattle...Guess I'm getting a little color blind....I allways thought that was a Ford Tractor, not a John Deer... ;D

Wilcat seriously go on up to the blue tractor and park at my aunty Belles house otherwise the hounds may eat your trailer tires, and besides she may have some chittlins on the stove.

Got out to the lake today around 4pm. Took a couple of guys I know to show them the lake. We fished till just before dark, with no luck at all. Water temp was 52-53 and the lake was crystal clear and smooth as glass. Everyone at the launch said they had the same luck as us. All we got out of the day was a cold ride back and found out my new prop works great. Unfortunately my boat isn't running right at the moment. Does't want to get going, just keeps wanting to die. Have to feather the throttle at take off till the rpm starts to get up then just go.

The weeds are holding around 2 feet under the water level. For the most part the whole lake bed is covered.
