New Finesse Setup

After a bunch of deciding on spinning vs casting for my needs, I settled on this set up. Thanks for everyone's input and help with this. Much appreciated. 

Rod:
G. Loomis GLX852c JWR

Reel:
Shimano Metanium MG7 V2
Mods:
BFS Yumeya black spool
Brass D7 gears
CarbonTex Drag
Met 16 96mm handle
ZPI bearing x2 (Still waiting on this to arrive)

Took her out in the yard and started with a 2" senko and VMC wacky hook. Took a few casts to get it dialed in, but ended up being able to send that senko a good 30 yards on each cast. I had a ton of thumb on that spool as I live in a development and it was blowing like hell out due to pre storm conditions. I am impressed! I spooled it up with #8 FC Sniper. Pictures show it pre-spooling though.

I considered just doing another LSCR for the rod, but I got into this GLX so cheap, that if I decide to go the custom route, I can sell this and break even or make 50 bucks.
