Cowhouse Creek Belton Lake Central Texas 9 Jun 18

Greetings to everyone,

Spent yesterday (Saturday) morning 7am - 1230pm fishing up in Cowhouse Creek at the West end of Belton Lake. The morning started off with clear skies 75 dgrs.  There was a light wind coming in from the South.  The water temps varied depending on your location 83 - 87 dgrs.  The lake down by Blora is clear but it stained up in Cowhouse creek.

I managed to put ( 5 ) largemouths in the boat yesterday none were picture fish.  All of the bass I caught yesterday were from the same year group.  Everyone of them were 12 inches long.  I caught them from varies depth from 1.5ft > 8ft deep.  The creek is getting really low as I was motoring up the creek I noticed its like 3ft lower than my last trip up there.  A lot of places I caught fish the previous trip there's no water there now.  I didn't have any issues fishing up there due to me fishing out of my G3.

I caught my fish on ( 3 ) different baits; Big Bite 6in Trick Stick Watermelon /w a chartreuse tip Wacky Rigged; Reaction Sweet Beaver 4.20 Bloody Mary Texas Rigged and a 7in Zoom Watermelon Seed  Worm Texas Rigged.

Over all it was an enjoyable trip.  I wound up fishing by myself something I had done in a real long time.
