Boots, hope you have an epic trip to St. Clair.  Looking forward to seeing all those monster Smallmouth you will be catching.  Stay warm and dry.

Funny you should mention that, we are leaving Saturday May 18 for a week or so ~gf Kerry got up here from Myrtle Beach and we working on loading the boat and truck. The Pepsi crowd are leaving today and going up part way and fish 1/2 day tomorrow. Per reports the wind has been bad for the last two weeks, water still cold and pond is high.  Looks as if warming trend and wind shifting to the west which is the best. Son it's almost impossible to fish Saint Clair on a East wind of any speed above 5mph. But I got the drift socks packed and about all I own. Hope to hit the Mother Load coming in going on the beds like we did on those 100 plus days a year or so ago.  Will report once in the action. Where's report on Fla. trip I missed it.??

Inky I know you been up there a few times when we there, maybe we can hook up next year or so and do the deal.  We got 7 or 8 boats going this year. Some left this am and coming back Sunday Week, we leaving Saturday and going straight thru an fish Saturday to Saturday. Moon right temps warming just hope the stays from the west and not the east lo I can't stay out there on a East Wind much over 10 and get beat to H and back at that with two drift socks. I'll report in via Bud. You just get healed up, and eat right, no steak and grave for awhile.

I'm Back lo We cut the trip short fish Sun- Wed and had some good fish but not the numbers we went to get.  Right many heavy 4's a few 5's and 2 6lb fish in our group of 8 boats or 16 hard core bassers 8) The wind started blowing when we left North Carolina and never stopped from 15-20 most days which made is very hard to fish and fish safe. Thankfully we had a 52" drift sock to slow us down to catch some fish. As you know Saint Clair can get very mean in the wind.  Water temp still 53-56 and lake still 2' high.  We were just too early this year due to the cold winter and the late ice melt.  Hope to go back in about two or three weeks and do it again.  Just like to get two or three boats so we can watch each others backs on the big water in a Deep Northern State lo

Hope you getting healed up and hope to see you soon. Stay away from the dinner and eat salad and drink green tea and water ;)
