On the water at 8 and fished until 4, water was high but not like last week when it was covering part of the parking and half the pier. River has just fell below flood stage for the first time in over 2 weeks and thats letting Bluff Creek drain somewhat, air temps mid 70's and partly cloudy, water temp 64-68 degrees and visibility was 1-2' in some areas and less than that in others, tides were rising but saw little effect due to the river and water was already 18 inches to 2 feet into the marsh in all areas. A good day catching fish as I finally got a spinner bait bite going early but not so good hooking, missing as many or more than I caught early in the day, later, in pockets of clearer water, the Zoom fluke worked great again with a 3.5 and several over 2 coming in the boat on watermelon and shiner colors. Total on the day of around 20 largemouth and best 5 over 10 pounds. One more day of nice weather and then 3 days of rain to screw up the water again.
