Love the Dobyns. I now have Colts, Furys, Sierras and Champions. I'm too poor right now (ain't I always) but I'll do some Mavericks too, if anything for a comparison YouTube video I have in the works (dadgum, I'll need a Kayden or three, too). Yup.

Received my 704c and 735c yesterday. Awesome rods. No embellishment needed here. lol great, feel great, built great, actions great, power great and balance is spot on. They exceeded my expectations. Soooo typical Dobyns with active tips that transition into power. And they are light. The guide set is sweet and we get a Fuji reel seat. There's going to be a bunch of happy campers when these rods start moving. 99 bucks is a steal. Gary flat aced this one. This is better than genuine Bust Head aged in a keg!

Somehow I am not surprised.

Quick question for you. A few people online have said the blanks are just a tad slower than the Colt and Fury of the same model. Do you think that's correct?

Well I haven't had time to fish them yet. I have no experience with the Colt series. Slower than a Fury. I'm going to say no At the present but more exposure may change that. I've never had any experience with Mitsubishi materials but who has? I'm hearing from folks that want to know how the 705CB pans out. It's such a new Series we'll have to let the smoke clear. I know one thing, I like what I'm feeling so far.
