Got out this morning not expecting to do much but enjoy the beautiful weather but ended up having a fun day. Water was high and stained from the near 2" rain late Wednesday night and tides were neap so the water moved very little all day, river stage was 19.3 and falling, water temps 66-68 and air temps was mid 70's with light wind and clear skies. Caught fish on a Jack hammer, fluke, spinner bait and T rigged UV speed worms on the day. With the Jack Hammer, caught fish out from the bank ripping through the grass, flukes on the  outside edge of the grass line and as the day went on every bite on the spinner and worm was within 6" of the bank and usually as soon as it hit the water but then the water was nearly a foot deep into the marsh with the high waters. 12 Legal fish on the day with about that many shorts, big fish was 2-5 and most of the rest were 1-4 to 1-8. Fun way to spend 6 hours.
Retired and loving every minute of it!
